They have come a long way over the years. Originally known for their multi-coloured polycotton range, they have come to establish a good name in the cotton bedlinen arena. All Volpes’ products are available at their 36 stores nationwide and online
When orders were placed through the WooCommerce shop, an integration platform was not guaranteeing that they were loaded in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system, and inventory levels were not changed to reflect the sale. The integration of shipping and tracking information between the two systems was not done effectively, therefore there was a requirement for manual data entry and processing
WooCommerce Website and NAV ERP were out of sync leading to inconsistent data on both the platforms.
When orders are placed on the WooCommerce website, the sales team has to manually add the orders in NAV.
When new products were added or stock/prices etc were updated in NAV, the WooCommerce website did not receive these updates automatically.

Now that they have customized NAV with WooCommerce plugin automatically pulling inventory, availability and shipped orders onto the website, it’s just done by API and they don’t have to touch it. In fact, it was one of the key points of NAV for Volpes because having that near real-time information for their reps is key.
